Proposed Increase

Green Valley Domestic Water Improvement District Board Proposed Changes to Rates and User Fees

To be Discussed at Public Hearing on June 23, 2022 at 9:00am

The Green Valley Domestic Water Improvement District has not implemented an increase to the base charge since 2018, and the tiers since 2020. As we are currently experiencing significant price increases in many areas of our business, including fuel, electricity, chemicals, replacement parts, and employee compensation (inflation driven), the District will be applying a stepped rate increase over the next five (5) years.

All residential and commercial customers will be affected by this rate increase.

No single year's increase shall be more than 3% but could be less as conditions stabilize.

The new rates for the 2022-2023 fiscal year will become effective and include all water usage on the July 2022 billing cycle. There will be no prorations.

In each of the following four (4) years, the District will announce in April or May, the percentage increase for the next fiscal year. The table below shows examples of residental water bills based on the 3% increase for 2022-2023.
